If you’re searching for some easy Christmas activities to do with your newborn, try the following. Ray and I had so much fun on these projects, and I was so proud to display these ornaments on my Christmas tree. Even better, creating multiples allows you to give them as thoughtful gifts to your loved ones.

- Red, white, black, and peach-colored paint
- Paintbrushes
- Ribbon or string
- Rolling pin
- Parchment paper
- Scissors
Steps:
Prepare Salt Dough:

- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on parchment paper.
Make Handprint:
- Press your child's hand firmly onto the rolled-out dough to create a handprint.
- Use a knife or cutter to trim around the handprint, leaving some space around it.
Create Santa:
- Paint the fingers of the handprint with red paint for Santa's hat and coat.
- Paint the palm area with peach-colored paint for Santa's face.
- Use white paint for the fluffy trim on the hat and coat.
- Add black paint for Santa's belt and eyes.
Add Details:
- Once the paint is dry, use a fine brush to add details like a nose, mouth, and any other decorations.
Finish Off:
- When everything is dry, punch a hole at the top of the ornament.
- Thread a ribbon or string through the hole to create a hanger.
Let Dry:
- Allow the ornament to dry completely before hanging or displaying it.
